The preteen years are a time of transition and change. Those students in their ‘tween years are ready to have more independence but not quite ready for all the responsibility that goes with it. Route 56 is an exciting ministry designed specifically to meet the needs of students in the 5th and 6th grade.
Sunday mornings at 9:00 separate classes are offered to guys and girls providing lessons full of application and self exploration of the Bible and what it really means. The 5th and 6th graders dig deep into God’s word and learn how it can be applied to their lives and how to use it to develop their relationship with Jesus.
At 10:30 Sunday mornings all 5th and 6th graders participate in Kids Worship, an exciting service packed with contemporary music, communion, and prayer. The 5th and 6th graders then break away into their own area to tackle the issues they care about. The lessons are discussion based and the 5th and 6th graders are encouraged to dig into the Bible for the answers. They also get their own safe and online community to connect with each other during the week. Online they can play games, vote on class games and what worship songs they want to sing each week, find out the clues for the next week’s lesson and more!
Route 56 is an exciting ride for every 5th and 6th grader who chooses to be a part of it! Join us! Don’t miss out on another wild ride!
To register for Route 56 every student will be asked to fill out a registration form the first time they attend a class or event. These are for attendance purposes only there is not a security system in place for Route 56. Students will be held in their classrooms Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings until adult services are released. The students will then be released also. Please plan accordingly for a designated meeting area for all services and events.
