The purpose of this page is to communicate information to the congregation and potential members. This will enable you to understand the major thrust and emphasis that we as leaders of FMCC feel God is leading us to give our prayers and energies. Obviously, the Purpose of FMCC will not change. It has been ordained by God and His Word. Our Vision and emphasis may change from time to time, but they will always be based upon why FMCC exists.
MISSION - The Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Franklin Memorial Christian Church believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it is our sole authority for guidance as a church, and for each and every individual in this church. Every issue discussed below is based upon that premise.
Listed below are various links that support and explain issues directly and indirectly related to our Mission. One such document shows our Mission, Vision and Ministry Emphasis at the present time. The ministry emphasis means this is where we currently are focusing our main attention and efforts. That does not mean we are not currently involved in many other issues and areas of ministry, but we are focusing heavily on these three issues at the present time.

With a church the size of FMCC, and with multiple staff, you might wonder how the Elders function in relationship to the Lead Ministry Staff. You will find helpful the document: How FMCC Leadership Operates.
At the heart of what we do is the concept that FMCC is a Mission model congregation and not a Membership model congregation. The Bible is very clear about how the church should operate. We’ve created a document that explains Franklin Memorial Christian Church-Mission VS Membership Model. It explains how we are a ministry focused on completing our mission assigned to us by God, and not an organization that is here to serve first the wants and needs of its members.
In the future additional documents will be added to this web page to help explain why we do things the way we do. One such example will be our new “Discipleship Program”. As our church continues to grow, we will have to further adapt our methods to what works best in order to accomplish our Mission; to that end we labor and we pray.
